08 Toyota Tundra Not Shifting

Well I learned tonight that my 08 wont shift out of 3rd with nannies off.

08 toyota tundra not shifting. The 2006 Toyota Tundra has 2 problems reported for will not shift. I started my 08 57 4 wheel drive truck and shifted it into drive. But they can go bad.

Average repair cost is 1030 at 157500 miles. On highway speeds at 60mph and above it is sitting at 3500RPM. If you are positive that the gear shifter is not stuck in park see directly above then its likely that the shift linkage may be bad.

Instead of getting a gear I get a flashing 4lo idiot light and a beeping sound. Not surprisingly 2007 was a bad year for the image of the Tundra. The only problem I have had with the Tundra is a shifting problem with the automatic transmission.

It is a 2008 SR5 It will not shift into 5th gear unless you use the manual shift side of the automatic transmission. I was parked on a hill. The truck also will not shift into 5th or 6th gear.
