2000 toyota tundra skid plate bolt. I have all of the bolts that go with it. Skid Plate Bolts. I have a 2000 Toyota Tundra and have always had the oil changed at either the dealer or VIP.

While I have heard of this issue since purchasing my 1999 4R 8 years ago I never had any experience with it as I have always changed my oil myself dropping the skids every time and never had an issue at all. Also Toyota recommends that they be tightened to 22ft-lb 30Nm on both plates but my replacement bolts are A2-70 steel and the recommendation is reduced when lubricated. I have never needed to take the skid plate off myself until I went to install a front hitch.

Joined Mar 11 2009. I want to get the skid plate on tight to see if its whats causing a rattle. Tap the hole out to fit the larger bolt.

Dont tighten to full torque. I dont know if thats how they came from the factory or if the previous owner lost some and put different sized ones instead. The threads on the bolts to my skid plate are rusty and disappearing.

Used but no dents normal wear only. You do need an extension to get at the 5 bigger bolts. Diamond shaped hole to provide for oil filter access.
