Toyota tundra shifter loose. Ive read about the cable and a weak aluminum casting in. Please let me know what you find and if you have any other questions good luck. Remove spring holding tilt to baseplate underneath and two T-25 torx screws holding baseplate to steering column.

With the shroud airbag and steering wheel removed one can get a much better look at the problem area. The lower gear shifter bushing will have to be replaced to remove the looseness of the gear shifter. I took off the steering column cover and had a look at itit looks like there is an adjustment screw with an allen headI tried tightening it but it didnt budge.
