2006 Toyota Tundra Ticking Noise
I have a 2006 Toyota Tundra limited 47l I bought it a few months ago since I didnt know how well the previus owner maintained I have been doing all types of maintenance to it it has 220000 miles.
2006 toyota tundra ticking noise. It clicks more rapidly when I step on the gas pedal. A leaking exhaust manifold will sound like an exhaust leak or an audible ticking noise from the engine compartment and will be especially pronounced when the engine is still cold. Basically everything I could replace that turned and now I have.
My husband calls it a fluttering sound. Yesterday I got it from a mechanic that changed the timing belt pulleys seals tensioner water pump all japanese. Here are some common signs that a serpentine belt is bad.
There is a load noise coming from the back side of the motor that sounds like a Vacuum cleaner motor electric motor. A horrible squeaking noise that goes up and down with your Tundras engine RPM should be observed. With some hydraulic lifters the noise quiets down after the oil gets good and.
I recently purchased a 2000 Toyota tundra access cab V8 47 4x4 and when it starts or is accelerating their is this ticking noise in the engine. This noise only happens when it is cold outside BUT it will happen when the motor is up to operating temperature as well as when it is cold. Has anyone experienced a tick coming from the engine.
I have listened to other 47s and they are quiet. Also the noise is sporadic and will only happen randomly. It will be a really fast ticking noise and this is normal.
I happens when I astart the vehicle. The serpentine belt can cause the water pump to go bad if its been improperly installed or if theres too much tension on it. Ive heard that it could be an exhaust leak.
